Continuing Education for Health Care Providers

Gloria has been a part of the team at UCLA that provides free statewide training and technical assistance to health care providers addressing the overdose crisis in California. Courses are one or more hours and include free continuing education for most disciplines.

MAT ECHO Clinic - Zoom
4th Monday of the month – 12 – 1pm (PST) – no cost

The purpose of this one-hour web training is to provide physicians, nurses, and other health care providers an opportunity to 1) learn about medications for addiction treatment (MAT) as well as evidence-based practices in treating patients with OUD and 2) participate in case-based learning focused on medication-assisted treatment.

 

Tribal MAT ECHO CLINIC
For Tribal health care providers
2nd Tuesday of the month – 12–1pm (PST) – No cost

These one-hour online learning sessions provide physicians, nurses, and other health care providers an opportunity to learn about medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and other evidence-based practices to treat people with Opioid Use Disorder and participate in case-based learning focused on implementing MAT in various treatment settings.

 

Provider Support Initiative Webinar Series - Zoom
2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month – 12 - 1pm (PST) – no cost

This webinar series is designed to teach evidence-based practices to health care providers who treat people who use drugs and are at risk of overdose. Topics include how to address opioids, stimulants, and related issues in a range of treatment settings. Sessions emphasize how to improve care for priority populations, including youth, American Indian/Alaska Natives, and persons experiencing homelessness.
